Please note: We have also several interesting Master and Bachelor projects available. Possible topics are listed below. Please contact Jochen if you have any questions.

PhD and Postdoc positions in Computational Biophysics

Our group develops and uses molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to understand the energetics, kinetics, and molecular mechanisms involved in biological macromolecular systems, such as proteins, biological membranes, or protein/nucleotide complexes. We put strong emphasis to free-energy calculations to obtain the thermodynamic driving forces of biomolecular processes, and work on combining simulations with experimental data. Hence, we tightly collaborate with experimentalists in Germany, France, Sweden, Austria, and Canada. Please take a look on our Research site and on our Publication list to find out more about our work.

PhD position: MD simulations of proton-coupled transport across a Malarial membrane channel

We are looking for a PhD student who is interested in working in EU-funded Innovative Training Network "PROTON", a large-scale collaboration on proton transport and proton-coupled transport. For more details on the consortium, please see the PROTON website.

Please find the full job advertisement on the DAAD site or on Euraxess

Application deadline: December 16, 2019

We are very much looking forward to hear from you!
